House in the woods : Watercolour : 15 X 11 inchesEnded up working on this quick watercolour sketch today. Given that I haven't been painting for a while it hasn't been easy for me to persuade myself to paint. I rather reluctantly started to work on this sketch but I guess am fairly happy with the result.
If this sketch grows into a painting the dark shape ( the door) on the ground floor of the building is going!

I had the same idea when I saw this. I thought it was beautiful, but that dark patch (door) was not fitting in. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the painting. You never seem to be out of touch really. But I believe you were in one of your best painting grooves when u did that series on mountains. Looking forward to seeing you back in that groove.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Sujit. Your technical skills with watercolor are so strong, and the colors have such harmony. The only thing that I think is lacking here is your confidence. Just keep telling yourself "I think I can, I think I can. . . "
ReplyDeletenice one Sujit. I think you must do away with the dark door..or just try overlapping with the tree trunk.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is wonderful -- I think if you 'clean' the door frame a bit it should be fine :) - I feel the door stands out because all the other slats are so clean and neat. The painting brings back so many memories for me!
